Check to see that your child is doing homework.
- A) A parent must monitor to help the child stay on track.

Provide positive support.
- A) When your child is doing their homework, recognize it!
- B) Don’t take it for granted that your child does their homework.
Back up your words with actions.
- A) Begging and pleading do not work.
- B) Give your child a CHOICE, explain that homework is a top responsibility. You must meet your responsibilities before you receive privileges. “If you choose not to do your homework, you choose not to have privileges.”
Work with the teacher.
- A) Stay in touch with the teacher via agenda book and\or phone calls.
- B) Teamwork is the best approach.
