Yes Community Counseling

  • YES Community Counseling Center will be on-site at Island Trees Memorial Middle School to provide individual counseling, case management services, and small group counseling to students. This community school partnership will provide Collaborative Care Coordinators to students and families with a full range of services and seamless access to community-based resources during the school day and beyond school hours. Counseling and case management services can also be provided beyond the school calendar year for families/students if needed.
  • Parents/guardians or school staff may refer students to this program or students may request counseling for themselves. To build trust with the student, YES’ staff will keep information confidential, with some exceptions. Because these services are provided to children in the school setting, the Collaborative Care Coordinator may share information with parents/guardians, school counselors/psychologists, and/or administrators or school personnel who work with the child on a need to know basis, so that they may better assist the child as a team.
