The Home-School Connection (3/9/26)

Dear ITMMS Families,
We hope this message finds you well after a weekend that surely felt a bit different as we adjusted our clocks and looked toward the horizon of a new season.
As we begin this week, we want to express our deepest gratitude for your ongoing support. Your respect for middle-level education and your unwavering belief in our school and our varied programs—from the arts and athletics to our rigorous academic initiatives—are what make Island Trees a truly special place to learn and grow. We never take for granted the trust you place in us to guide your children through these formative years.
This past weekend, we all moved our clocks forward, a ritual that serves as a perfect metaphor for the "forward march" we experience every day at ITMMS. We are constantly looking ahead—planning the next lesson, the next event, and the next milestone in our students' development. However, as we spring forward, it is equally important to pause and look around at all that is currently good within our school and our wider community. We are surrounded by students who are discovering their voices, teachers who are dedicated to their craft, and families who are deeply invested in our collective success.
Let us also take a moment to be thankful for the gift of longer days and the extra sunlight that now graces our evenings. There is a renewed sense of promise in the coming warmth and the opportunity for more time outdoors. As the world around us begins to bloom, let it remind us of the growth occurring within our own hallways—growth that, like the change of seasons, requires patience, nurturing, and time.
Our continued partnership remains the essential key to our students' success. We encourage you to continue utilizing our school website at MS Website, particularly the Students tab, to stay updated on our Extra Help schedule, Clubs and Activities, and the Daily Bulletin.
Thank you for being such an integral part of the Island Trees family. We look forward to a bright, productive, and sun-filled week ahead.
Sincerely,
Mr. Keegan Principal
