The Home-School Connection (3/16/26)

Dear ITMMS Families,
We hope you enjoyed a wonderful and restful weekend with your family. As we settle into the rhythm of longer days, there is a palpable sense of excitement throughout our school and community.
This week is particularly vibrant at Island Trees Memorial Middle School. On Tuesday, March 17th, we look forward to a bit of St. Patrick’s Day fun as our hallways go green. It is wonderful to see our students and staff embrace these moments of community spirit and joy. Additionally, we would like to extend our warmest wishes to all members of our school community who are celebrating Eid al-Fitr. We hope it is a time of joy, peace, and meaningful connection for you and your families.
Celebrating Our Progress and Successes
As you read through this week's newsletter, we ask that you carefully review the sections highlighting our many positive initiatives and upcoming school-wide events. Our students and staff are achieving incredible things every day, and these updates serve as a window into the successes that define the ITMMS experience. From academic milestones to creative breakthroughs, there is so much to be proud of in our community, and your awareness of these efforts further strengthens the bond between our school and your home.
The highlight of our week is undoubtedly the debut of our school production: Emma! A Pop Musical. Our talented cast and crew have worked tirelessly to bring this story to life, and we are thrilled to host three incredible performances. We hope to see many of you in the audience supporting the arts and witnessing the creativity of our students firsthand.
As we look outside, we are reminded of the hopeful promise of the season. We are eagerly anticipating the "March Madness" basketball excitement, the arrival of consistently better weather, and the first flowers that will soon start blooming across our campus. Like those emerging blossoms, our students are reaching new heights in their own growth, a process we are privileged to witness every day.
We want to thank you for your continued partnership and for the trust you place in our school. Your support of our diverse programs—from our musical theater productions to our athletic competitions—is what allows our students to truly thrive.
Please remember to visit our school website at MS website and check the Students tab for the Extra Help schedule, information on our various Clubs and Activities, and the Daily Bulletin.
Thank you for being such a vital part of the Island Trees family. We look forward to a week filled with music, spirit, and the promise of spring.
Sincerely,
Mr. Keegan
