Dear ITMMS Families,
Welcome back! We hope your Spring Recess was filled with rest, relaxation, and wonderful moments shared with family and friends. There is something uniquely rejuvenating about this time of year, and we hope your children return to us today feeling refreshed and ready for the journey ahead.
As we settle back into our routines, we find ourselves at a seasonal crossroads. We’ve just witnessed the Artemis II Space Mission, the exciting conclusion of March Madness, and the final round of the Masters Golf Tournament. We now welcome the return of the baseball season and the anticipation of this summer's World Cup. Much like the first pitch on opening day, this time of year represents a sense of starting fresh and the boundless hope that comes with every new season.
This week is a significant one for our school community as we navigate several important milestones together. We are currently approaching the close of our third marking period this Friday, and we are also beginning our ELA state testing. Please know that we have full confidence in our students. We have seen firsthand the hard work they have put in and the incredible preparation provided by our dedicated staff to help them meet these challenges with confidence.
Reflecting on the year so far, we are struck by how much we have accomplished together through our shared dedication to your child's success. The forecast for the coming days looks beautiful, and we can already see the flowers on our campus preparing to bloom in full. They serve as a vibrant reminder of the growth happening all around us within our own hallways.
While the conclusion of a quarter and the start of our assessments can be demanding, there is so much excitement still to come. We look forward to the many events, performances, and opportunities that define the "home stretch" of the school year.
We feel privileged to have the extraordinary opportunity to guide and inspire the children of Island Trees each and every day. Let’s embrace this week with the optimism and energy that a new season brings.
